Sarah R. Saul, JD

Sarah is a compassionate and knowledgeable attorney dedicated to helping families navigate complex legal matters. Originally from Portland, Oregon, she earned her Bachelor of Science from Oregon State University before pursuing her passion for language and culture in Spain, where she obtained a degree in Spanish Studies from the University Complutense in Madrid. Sarah speaks Spanish conversationally.

After returning to the U.S., Sarah worked as a legal secretary for a non-profit before she earned her law degree from Willamette University College of Law. Sarah focuses her practice on family law, including divorce, custody matters, adoptions, and surrogacy matters. Her goal is to provide thoughtful and empathetic guidance to clients during some of the most challenging times in their lives.

Outside of the office, Sarah enjoys immersing herself in music, exploring new destinations, and staying active. Her well-rounded experiences and approachable demeanor make her a trusted advocate for her clients.

Layton D. Dessert, JD

Layton is a dedicated and knowledgeable attorney who brings a thoughtful approach to his practice at Dessert & Saul Law, LLC. A native Oregonian, he grew up in Beaverton, Oregon, and has deep roots in the local community. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Oregon State University in Corvallis, where he developed a strong foundation in understanding human behavior and decision-making. He went on to obtain his law degree from Willamette University College of Law, equipping him with the skills and insights necessary to advocate effectively for his clients.

Layton is licensed to practice law in Oregon and is also admitted to the federal courts. His areas of expertise include employment law, landlord-tenant disputes, and protective orders. Known for his clear communication and commitment to helping clients navigate the complexities of their cases, he strives to provide guidance that is both knowledgeable and approachable.

When he’s not in the office, Layton enjoys tackling home improvement projects, exploring new destinations, diving into a good book, and spending quality time with his family.

Amberlyn Britt-Hazari, JD

Amberlyn is a dedicated family-based and humanitarian immigration and family law attorney who is passionate about advancing diversity, equity, inclusion, and access to justice. A graduate of Willamette University College of Law, she has been deeply involved in efforts to promote equal access to legal representation and advocacy for underrepresented communities.

With experience in legal research, client advocacy, and complex case preparation, Amberlyn is committed to providing effective and compassionate legal services. She is dedicated to serving diverse populations and ensuring equitable legal support for all.

Outside her legal practice, Amberlyn enjoys painting, spending time with family, visiting museums, and continuously learning. These personal interests reflect her commitment to creativity, connection, and cultural engagement.

Bella Fries

Bella joined Dessert & Saul Law, LLC in June 2025 as a Legal Assistant. She is a 2025 graduate of the University of Oregon, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Sociology, with a minor in Legal Studies.

At the firm, Bella plays an integral role in day-to-day operations. She focuses on document collection and organization, drafting legal documents, and ensuring smooth communication between clients and their attorneys. Her keen attention to detail and commitment to client service make her a valued member of the team.

Outside the office, Bella enjoys reading and listening to audiobooks, watching true crime documentaries, hiking, and paddleboarding.

Yvonne Huntington

As our Legal Secretary, Yvonne Huntington provides essential administrative and client support to ensure our cases run smoothly and efficiently. She assists with document preparation, scheduling, and communication between clients, attorneys, and the court. Her attention to detail and organization help keep our office operating seamlessly.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, her dog, and a good book.
